Roisin Dillon

Background
Roisin is a current DPhil student in the Medical Sociology & Health Experiences Research Group (MS&HERG). Her DPhil work looks at the management of patient risk in urgent primary care, to understand how safety information is communicated and understood in these settings. Her work is particularly focused on those accessing care who are under 18 years old, and the intersections of medical, legal and development based communication that take place between parents, practitioners and children.
Roisin holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Canada, and has clinical experience in gynaecological oncology and paediatric emergency care. Roisin also works in Policy, where her work is focused on legislative development for the regulation of healthcare professionals with a focus on increasing flexibility and reducing adversarial process.
Roisin also holds an MA in Medical Ethics and Law from King's College London and an MSc in Medicine, Health and Public Policy from King's College London.
