University of Oxford's Internal Selection Process

The Medical Sciences Division is running the internal selection process to identify Oxford’s two nominees for round nine of these flagship NIHR awards. Applicants must be on track to become outstanding research leaders and propose a programme of research in infectious diseases, pandemic preparedness, or antimicrobial resistance in ODA‑eligible countries in sub‑Saharan Africa and South Asia (noting the NIHR’s revised Global Health remit). Candidates must submit an internal expression of interest via the Internal Research Award Management System by 12 noon on 5 May 2026.
