Wenqianglong Li (Ayden Lee)
BSc, MSc, PhD
Postdoctoral research scientist in neuroscience & human genetics
Pain, genetics, brain imaging, psychiatry
Research Summary
Ayden is a Molecular Genetics researcher with a background in developmental neuroscience, genetics, and psychiatry. He earned his PhD in Molecular Psychiatry from UCL, where he developed a passion for understanding the complex interplay between genetics and neurodevelopmental disorders.
In September 2022, Ayden joined the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience. Currently, he is dedicated to studying the genetic risks associated with neuropathic pain and investigating their potential genetic overlaps with various psychiatric disorders. His research involves utilising data from DOLORisk, UK Biobank, and Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study. These rich datasets allow him to explore diverse ancestral backgrounds and shed light on how genetic risks relate to brain structures and functions.
