Rohan Borschmann

I am a psychologist and visiting academic from the University of Melbourne. I am interested in mental health in adolescents and young adults, with a particular focus on marginalised groups. My research focuses on three main areas: (1) adolescent mental health; (2) the health of people who come into contact with the criminal justice system; and (3) self-harm and suicide prevention.

Based in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, I work with Prof. Mina Fazel and her team on the OxWell Student Survey, examining mental health and self-harm in primary and secondary school students across England. As a former prison psychologist, I also lead the multi-national Mortality After Release from Incarceration Consortium (recent findings here).
