Chidiebere is a researcher within the Applied Health Research Unit (AHRU), where she works on health and social care projects.
She has experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and has been involved in short-term, long-term, and multi-site projects. Before joining the University of Oxford, she worked as a researcher at Edge Hill University, engaging in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods projects.
Chidiebere joined the Health Services Research Unit, now AHRU, to work on a range of projects related to skin cancer, particularly melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma. These involved using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and investigating patients' experiences and acceptability of randomised controlled trials (RCTs).
Her recent research has concentrated on improving individuals' health, well-being, and care in line with the priorities of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Oxford and Thames Valley.
Chidiebere holds a Master of Science (MSc) in International Health and Management from the University of Aberdeen, along with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Sciences from the University of Surrey. She completed her PhD in 2018, using a mixed methods design to develop and evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a preconception care app for women with diabetes. In recognition of her contributions to research and innovation, she was awarded the Postgraduate Research Student of the Year in 2017 by the University of Surrey.
