Research Summary

I lead a research group at the Oxford Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (OxCIN)where we develop image analysis tools to support clinical applications.

Our work is part of the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (OH-BRC) focusing on dementia and brain technologies. Current projects include translating MRI research into memory clinic practice through the Oxford Brain Health Clinic, and harmonising MRI measures across sites to make scans more comparable.

I also contribute to methodological development within the OxCIN Analysis group, particularly in structural MRI (lesion segmentation) and resting-state fMRI (artefact removal and reproducibility), as part of the FSL software package.

My background is in bioengineering (PhD, Politecnico di Milano, Italy), and I have worked on imaging studies in ageing, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and vascular disease.

Teaching & Supervision

I contribute to teaching, supervision, and training within the University of Oxford and through international courses and workshops.
