Oxford Global Health – our approach
Global health is being reshaped in a period of turbulence. The climate crisis, conflict and displacement, widening inequality, rapid technological change, and sharp reductions in funding are altering patterns of disease and the systems designed to respond. Progress is under strain, and in some places reversing.
Addressing these challenges requires working across disciplines and geographies, in partnership with those most affected.
Oxford Global Health is a University-wide initiative that brings together expertise from across divisions and works with partners worldwide on major health challenges. We connect researchers, enable collaboration, align priorities and catalyse partnerships and initiatives.
Our work is grounded in equitable, respectful and inclusive partnerships. We support long-term collaboration, invest in emerging scholars, and advance research that is culturally sensitive and historically aware - improving health and livelihoods.
