Chidiebere is a researcher within the Applied Health Research Unit (AHRU) working on public health and social care projects.

They have experience of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and have been involved in short-term, long-term and multi-site projects. Before joining the University of Oxford, they worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Edge Hill University and worked on various qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods projects.

Chidiebere joined the Health Services Research Unit to work on a range of projects related to skin cancer, specifically melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma, using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and investigating patients’ experiences and acceptability of randomised controlled trials (RCTs).

More recent research has focused on identification of local needs and co-design of interventions aimed at improving people's health, wellbeing and care in line with priorities of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Oxford and Thames Valley.

Chidiebere has an MSc in International Health and Management (University of Aberdeen) and a PhD in Health Sciences (University of Surrey).They completed their PhD in 2018, using a mixed methods design to develop and evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a preconception care app for women with diabetes.

Chidiebere was awarded postgraduate research student of the year in 2017 by the University of Surrey for my contribution to research and innovation.
