Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. Primary objective To assess the benefits and harms of remote, face-to-face, and group-based interventions for promoting strength training on participation in healthy, community-based adults. Secondary objectives To assess how the method of intervention delivery (for example the delivering professional, face-to-face versus remote, group-based versus individual, supervised versus unsupervised) influences the effectiveness of the intervention. To assess how the intensity of the intervention delivery (for example number of sessions per week) influences the effectiveness of the intervention. To assess how the type of intervention (for example muscle strengthening activities alone versus multicomponent activities) influences the effectiveness of the intervention. To assess if the effectiveness of interventions to promote strength training differs in older adults (aged 65 years and older).
