Marjan Walli-Attaei
Senior Researcher in Health Economics
Marjan Walli-Attaei joined the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) in mid-October 2022 as a senior researcher in health economics.
Her research focusses on the healthcare burden and costs associated with cardiovascular diseases across member countries of the European Society of Cardiology.
Marjan's research interests include measuring inequalities in health and healthcare; access to essential medicines in low- and middle-income countries; and the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases with a focus on women living in low- and middle-income countries.
Marjan obtained a PhD in Health Policy with a specialisation in Health Economics from McMaster University, Canada, and completed a Postdoctoral fellowship at the Population Health Research Institute, Canada.
