Alyssa is an infectious diseases physician currently based in Darwin, Australia. Her DPhil is supervised by Dr Joris Hemelaar in the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEUand will examine maternal outcomes in mothers receiving antiretroviral therapy in pregnancy.

Alyssa has an interest in maternal health and has previously completed the Diploma of the Royal Australasian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, prior to undertaking infectious diseases training.

She completed the Master of Global Health Science at Oxford Population Health in 2014, and also holds a Master's of Public Policy through the Blavatnik School of Government.
